It's happened too many times now. Users with hundreds of posts, years of "history," emotional stories, deep engagement with the community... and then they get exposed. They slip up and mention having a girlfriend. Or the classic: they get caught admitting in a different forum that they've been LARPing as an incel for "research" or for "entertainment."
It's getting frustrating. How are we supposed to have any real discussion, any honest venting when we don't even know who's actually in the same boat as us?
So I'm setting up a poll. Anonymous voting. No usernames attached. No way for anyone to track who voted which way. Once it's set to anonymous, it's not possible to reveal voters later.
I just want to know the real state of this forum.
Two categories:
Incels:
1. Truecel / Permacel
Never had sex. Never been in a relationship. Textbook definition of incel. You've accepted that this is likely permanent.
2. The FA (Forever Alone):
You're lonely, isolated, and struggle with connection, but your issue isn't exclusively or primarily about sex. You might be FA in a broader sense: no friends, no social life, no prospects, and the incel label also fits.
Fakecels:
1. Former Incel / Escaped Cel
You once identified as incel. But through some combination of luck, circumstance, or effort, you got out. You have/had a partner. You've experienced intimacy. But you stay here because you remember the pain and have trauma-bonded with the forum.
2. The Dry Spellcel / Relationship Refugee:
You've had relationships or sex in the past, but you're currently in a brutal dry spell that feels permanent. You might have been a normie once, but the wheel has turned, and now you're stuck in the mud with the rest of us. But you are not one of us.
3. Fakecel / LARPer / Infiltrator
You are not an incel. You never have been. You might have a partner, a normal social life, or even just a normal dating history. You're here out of curiosity, boredom, malice, or "academic interest." You are the enemy.
