Annoying social interaction

I currently live in a supported housing building for aIcoholics and drug addicts. I was playing dice with a couple people who I usually get along with somewhat. But this time one of the participants started repeatedly criticizing my playstyle. I explained that I play however I want, but he didn’t stop nagging.

There’s a femoid at the table who stares at me relentlessly everytime I get called out. That annoyed me so I asked her why she stared at me. She angrily responds that she has to stare at people whenever they’re talking. Similar stuff has happened multiple times before, like when I’m trying to crack a joke or follow up on something she sort of interrupts and says “what do you mean by saying that?”

I don’t why but this bothered me so much. I hate it when people are disrespectful like this. The few times I attempt to socialize I end up like an object to be made fun of.

Call her out on it. Everytime she does it. And if she interrupts you with stupid questions simply continue talking as if she wasn't there.

You are right. I’m a pussy for not doing it each and everytime this shit happens. I enter a defensive mode instead because I desperately crave some social acceptance after being excluded most of my life.

I don’t want to stay in my room all the time, because I’m forced to go to treatment with these people during week days, so I don’t want to come off as an anti-social shut in who only speaks to people during mandatory stuff. I literally live with these people and stumble across them all the time. Fuck.

Once this happen to me in school i said shut up whore and she started crying, Then the teacher asked what did you say, I replied she was being a bitch and making grimases at me!

Yes everyone who lives here has to blow in a breath analyzer twice a day and do a weekly urine sample, so it’s hard to drink under these circumstances. Been sober for 2.5 months.
