They lack the ability to create unique art since creating unique art means going against typical sensibilities and concepts. which normies cant do since their the ones tasked with upholding the typical sensibilities for the art to rebel against. it's why whenever they consume any alternate media they have to twist it instead of meeting the media where it is.
we are not the first group this happens to:
> goths
> video games
> rock
> even christianity
normies arent just mindless consumers their a parasite which alters and kills its host and takes whats left and integrates it into the larger collective

They also demonize you, the original fan, for not wanting to accept its new bastardized form. They call you intolerant and a bigot as they push you out of a community you helped cultivate and maintain. That’s why we need gatekeeping

I disagree. I think with gatekeeping a niche media are able to evolve organically over time in contrast to watering to down to appeal to such a wide audience that it becomes nonexistent

Anime has been mainstream for like almost forever, but it mostly started getting picked up around the mid 2010s, and when it started airing more on Netflix.

Almost everyone watches it now.
