this also, torrent is always better, but im scared of getting raped with fines. In most of the world nobody enforces laws against filesharing. But in germany we have entire law firms just spamming 1000s of letters out to people a year. Often times migrants or tourists come here and torrent a movie only to get fined 1000€ or so out of nowhere. Last year I torrented an older movie, sicario from 2015, thinking its a decade old who cares. I got a 900€ fine in the mail. There is no way of getting out of it, zero. Yes I didnt use VPN I know, the reason why I dont bother is because most of the shit I torrent is just ancient video games, ancient movies, usually 20+ years old, books etc. Never had any issue before.

Having heard about how authoritative governments are getting in Europe (mainly Western Europe), I truly wonder who in their right mind would want to move to these countries. The UK and France have been rolling out their own whacky laws. Europe's selling point was quality of life, but it seems now it's only affordable to “richcels” and foids. " and one page later, 900€ bill with legal threats. Ok I dug up the letter and this is what it says, translated ahem:
