A cultural thing maybe, but does anybody else notice that as well? Americans seem obsessed with making fun or addressing someone's failures in life, I don't get it.
Apparently for the average american it's very funny to make fun of a "loser". It really disturbs me, it's not uncommon to hear, like for instance some movie or yt video where someone tries to be funny by addressing a person who's a virgin at given age, lives with his parents, is unemployed, is ugly. Things like that.
I mean what is even the point, if anything that's not even funny, it's not something you should be making fun of, it just sounds mean. Some of those things aren't even failures in my book, why living with your parents as a single person is a bad thing? It doesn't make sense to me.
I know people who are married and still live in their parents house, that would be pretty weird, but I can't picture someone making fun of this because even if it's a failure it's just not funny. It's pretty sickening actually.
