I think the USA will end up splitting apart eventually, along racial and/or political lines. You see it now that people on the left and right can't just disagree and still get along. But if you disagree with their political POV, you are an evil person that deserves to be killed. And this is especially the attitude of the left towards the right.
Such a thing isn't sustainable in the long run. What would likely happen is you have individual states and areas start to ignore the Federal government and do their own thing. If Trump runs and is reelected in 2024, you may see blue cities and blue states do everything in their power to defy him. And vice versa, red states and red areas will start to defy and not play along with a Democrat controlled federal government.
Eventually blue areas will start to form alliances and so will red areas. This can make the country ripe for break up.
