Doesn't it happen to you that when you see a dude wearing a mask that covers most or all of his face (not a retarded rioter) you tend to subconsciously attribute positive traits to him such as intelligence, bravery, strength, coldness, stoic personality, or just coolness in general? Ive always had this bias, ever since I was a child I always thought wearing a mask is cool.
Could this be considered as halo effect?
I remember when I was a kid and played cs 1.6 I would mostly choose the SAS soldier just because he had a gas mask that looked cool
