I also do/did this for some of my colleagues (both sexes), brocel. When I started studymaxxing I took every work they had just because I wanted to find friends there. I even did all the homework for some of them. Didn't help me in the slightest (in some cases I never even heard "Thank You!"). Extremely pathetic, but I didn't know what else to do. I know that it doesn't help me in the slightest, but sometimes I still help others just because I want to feel needed and I feel less lonely when I occupy myself with other tasks. I use it to pass the day, when I have no work to do. I simply cannot say "No!" to people. I even helped a colleauge cheating once. Pathetic and I hate myself for it.
