I don't think that many people can or are willing to pay $2200-$4400 rent a month for their own place.
The only people that can really live by themselves are the really successful people. Top earners making 120k, 180k+ per year.
It's either you live at home with parents, room with a couple of friends, or meet a few strangers on facebook, introduce yourselves, and room together. Noise, lack of privacy, them stinking up the place, cooking their food, having friends over, leaving mess in the bathroom, not cleaning their mildue off the shower, etc...
That all said, I bet old boomerfags would never have imagined that in several generations, Americans would be talking about seizing assets and property. Because it looks like that's where we're headed lol
I know one things for certain, rabidly progressive latinos and blacks have zero problems with asset/property seizures and redistribution. It's already happening at local levels and in state legislation with ballots. Often in hidden/confusing language or texts. Of course it's not getting through but in the future it may.
