All religions are indirectly or directly based in one pillar: What happens after death? The first religions were tribal, shamanistic, and existed via trips induced by substances and mantras, and the core of them was more esoteric than "thanatocentric" (centered in death), and the death was just seen as an inevitable end. However by the development of technology and HDI, along LE, life was more easier and we could dedicate to philosophy and arts so we just converted those tribal beliefs in a united cosmovision, and since death was avoidable, we now were able to think what happens after death so myths were created. Paganism was born. The masses (85%) were subjugated and were pressured to think that if they don't follow certain rules they will go to their respective hell. Thus increasing centralization and control, constructing empires and roads. The ascetics/priests (13%) were the monarchs (2%) tools to govern over the masses. Most of the ascetics and priests were psychos only interested in money, but other part were just schizos. This can be combined with class struggle. This trend is seen across all the world except in Judea and the Far East.
The Abrahamic Question
Why you need so much gods when you can have only one? This is what judaic schizos and monarchs agreed, altough the shamanistic nature of man can't get all the masses only worship one, they can make lesser gods (saints, prophets, angels) or they can divide the one in three (Trinity). Also many pagan aspects were inserted onto them like Apollo is now Archangel Michael and so on. Christianism is so popular because it is the only religion that God actually defeated Death, if he did not resurrect he would just regarded as a visionary or as a schizo but no. Also Islam belief of 72 virgins after death. Why are believers, specially abrahamists so furious about inmortality, cloning, or artificial wombs? Because if death is defeated, religion is also defeated.
Buddhism and other chink religions
Buddhism it is the prime example of death cult, "just stop desiring stuff bro" and chimp out if you step on a frog or all the mummies they have and all the creepy shit like that dalai lama that kissed the tongue of a child like wtf. Confucianism and Taoism only works on high IQ autistic people like the architects and strategists of China.
