Everyone in the modern world is or will be a worker. Someone who produces a good or is part of the managing class which manages those workers and the value they produce. It doesnt matter if we live in communist society, a capitalist society or somewhere in between. You are most likely in either one of those two groups. The only people that arent in one of these groups are those who live in some form of the value that is produced by society, that means children who live of their parents value, pensioners who live of he value of the social system or their kids, rentier livin on value they inheret or produced threw their life or people livin of social care.
There are no artists in the modern world, they are workers who produce art as an consumable product.
Philosophers are workers too, who produce the illusion of a sense in all of this to keep the people happy enough to keep working and not start to question their existence and a reason on why to keep on working.
Priests will just be a more spiritual form of therapists who listens to your problem and tells that its all in a higher powers will.
Politicians have the same purpose plus they help managing the system.
The only morality in this modern world is effiency. What increases effiency is good, everything that decreases it is bad.
Freetime, rest and hobbies too are part of the work, they are the necassary charging time for human machines. They only exist to keep effiency up. The same reason is why pensions exist they are supposed to give you a goal to chase so you keep up effiency. Same is for Sex, its only purpose in todays world is to keep you efficient (the absence of sex tends to make people inefficient due to depression and because they start question the purpose of everything)
Sex has also the purpose of reproduction, but its losin this purpose since there are enough people on this planet to replace a low birthrates, but low birthrates increases productivity since it allows to have more women join the workforce (the problems only started when it was realized that not all people are equal and you cant replace every person with every other person)
Thats why reproduction will be overtaken by machines to, they allow a reliable and a controlled enviroment plus a more reliable production of kids.
When this project is finished women will be only of use to take care if childs, educate them, as secrataries and for prostitution.
No one controlls this world no secret group or entity, it controlls itself. No one controlls the universe and all humanity will become its own little universe, its own thermodynamic system.
It wont be a happy world which would be worth sustain, it wont be happy lifes which would be worth living, there wont be any tragic, no glory, no depth, but this doesnt matter its our future and its inevatible. It doesnt matter who you follow, if you follow some religious leader, sime conservatives or liberal progressives or communists. In either way you will help to build the new world or you will be ignored and soonef or later the colder, more efficient system will overwhelm you. If you try to rebel you will juat be ignored and stomped by the marching feet of progress. Maybe you can slow down the process, but you cant stop it from becoming the grey reality for everyone. You cant stop humanity to become a perfect clockwork.
