I’ve been reading the decline and fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, it’s surprisingly engrossing for a historical tome written in the 1700s. Would recommend it for anyone here who’s interested in history

I've read that, well not the entire book but a good part of it, and I think it was good. The most important thing I remember is that you shouldn't criticize other people.
How to win friends and influence people is a good read for anyone who is afraid of socializing. I know the book has a bad reputation here and people call it "bluepilled", but they are forgetting one thing: it's not a book about picking up women.

I've recently started reading "Revolt against the modern world" by Julius Evola. I thought he would dab on liberalism, democracy and the modern world for the entirety of the book, but 9 chapters in and most of what he's talking about is old monarchies or aristocraties, what role a king should have, rituals, traditions and the afterlife. It's really interesting. He mentions mostly indo-europian cultures like ancient rome, greek, india, iran, skandinavia but also ancient egypt and china. What surprised me was how critical he is of christianity or abrahamic religions in general.

Yes, read this book. I haven't read it tbh because cryptography doesn't interest me much but I have skimmed through some pages and have a Cryptomaxx collegue. This book is really good.i needed to get into it tbh, cryptography can be useful
