I don't think losers being attracted to the alt-right is solely based on a wish for community and a sense of belonging as you seem to suggest. If it were, there would be no reason for this community to be based on nationalist ideas. They could base that community on literally anything else and be proud of literally anything else. I believe that the reason why alt-right ideas are so prevalent in losers is that the lower class population (which mostly consists of losers) is the one that has to deal with the consequences of immigration the most. They are the ones that are affected the most by rising crime, devaluation of property and the consequences of living with people who's values and morals are not compatible with their own. The latter ultimately leading to this strong sense of white identity.
