I was browsing Wikipedia's list of tallest people ever, just for fun. And it occurred to me that there are very few Dutchmen on the list, despite the Dutch being on average one of the tallest nations on this planet. Moreover, none of the Dutchmen that made it to the list seems to have lived in recent times. I wonder why this lack of Dutch height record holders is the case. It would seem to suggest that the Dutch, while having a very tall average body length, also have relatively few outliers in the highest upper ranges of the height spectrum. Or maybe it's just a result of the Netherlands' small population size (17 million, or about a quarter of a percent of the world's population).
