I was talking with some guys on discord about these stuff...

He said that Islam does not have a racial preference over others, so I digged up some quotes from it.

Islam was full of "no superiority" over other races. But ethnostates doesn't have to have a superiority mindset

O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous1 of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Aware. وَجَعَلْنٰكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَآئِلَ (and made you nations and tribes.) The meaning (الشعب) is a large group of people consisting of several tribes, such as the Mudhar and Rabi’ah. Meanwhile (القبيلة) are smaller than that like the tribe of Bani Bakr from the Mudhar nation, and Bani Tamim from the Rabi’ah nation. Another opinion says the meaning (الشعب) is a tribe of people other than Arabic. Meanwhile (القبيلة) is a tribe of Arab people.

لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ (so that you get to know each other) That is, to know one another that he is from this tribe—Not to boast about bloodlines.
From what I'm seeing, if Islam is constant and timeless and that tribes should "know each other", that means that tribes should not mix, so they can cooperate with each other in a equal manner.

If everyone were mixed and forced into one tribe, there would be no more "knowing each other".

I'm aware that no one interprets like that and that Muslims believe in unifying countries via their ummah system (one nation under god), but this is just a thought experiment.

Nah, religion is good, and helpful for societies. It becomes bad when it is imperialist (internationalistic, borderless concepts like ummah or Marxist communism)

It's obvious that it's referring to tribes within the Arab Peninsula, that all spoke Arabic and which didn't resemble any kind of state element.

You can't have an ethnostate with its own culture in which everyone needs to speak Arabic and pray in it 5 times a day

Well, that's obvious. lots of Islam is centered around the Arab world. However, it advertises itself as a religion for all humanity, in which, the concept of a tribe would be evolved towards nations which are more often than not ethno based.

And yes im aware how impractical that would be, but it's just a fun thought experiment.

What does this even mean? Would we not know one another if we were all the same tribe?

I see that the Taliban have incorporated this aspect better than a lot of other Islamic nations.
