When I was in elementary school I had severe eczema, particularly on my hands and feet, and for a long time my parents were unable to find a treatment for it that worked. One time in first grade my teacher called me to her desk to talk to me about something (I forget what it was about, I think it was either me not wearing my glasses or something to do with grades) and she touched my hands and I was amazed at how soft and warm they were. That was the first and last time I have ever touched a woman's hand.

Not even your moms hands?

I remember walking into my first grade classroom, and then everyone laughing at me, and of course I broke down into tears like the bitch I was.
