Some months after truly giving up I've come to the realization that the way in which I should conduct my life to maximize my happiness is not that far away from what I would be doing if I was actively looking for female companionship. Most of the things that are worth doing also happen to increase your SMV. Pursue success in any area, that is what will bring men like us happiness. Even If you gave up like me, if it turns out that you had a chance after all, it wouldn't go to waste because you'd eventually get approached once your SMV reaches some lower threshold. The real difference between giving up and not is that you'll be much more relaxed once you do.

Your statement is wrong because it really varies on a person's face and overall genetic quality. If he is of a below average genetic quality, ascending is an option and it's pretty achievable, most members here are on a scale from 2.5 to 5 and nobody should be totally nihilistic at that stage.
