A lot of "big tent" online hangouts are going to seem like a thing of the past over the next decade. If governments ever get that domain registration censorship problem that killed 8chan fixed, then a lot of people will just gravitate back to niche sites like this one. That's how "communities" existed on the internet before MySpace and especially Facebook/Twitter. People liked the idea of being "connected to the whole world" but it turns most humans are uninteresting.

You had a slight escape from the reminder that everyones out to kill you or drive you off a cliff, and it's taken from you in the worst way.
