A chart unintentionally shows that race is a very good predictor of how optimistic a country is on AI

For real. I can't be the only one seeing this, can I:feelshaha:?

The graph is for median age and AI optimism, but it has like three outliers who don't conform to the general trend. But, if instead you look at race, and say that the whiter a country is, the more likely it is to be against AI, then Argentina being relatively pessimistic stops being an outlier, as do South Korea and Thailand being quite positive, and from three outliers you just end up with one. That being Japan being rather AI pesimistic despite being a non-white country, and even then, it seems more positive about AI than the white average, and it is a country that gets memed on a lot about being "honorary Aryans" and whatever.

aren't soylennials the one who hate AI the most? boomers and kids don't seem to mind it
this ought to make the statistics pretty weird

makes sense young ppl hate AI cause "they took muh jobs"

Not surprising. The world as a whole is vastly wealthier than 35 years ago.

It probably comes down to a lack of information. Developing AGI may take a century. There is the possibility of very long timelines if the technology does not appear by the 2030s. This does not mean AI goes away, though. Only that long timelines are likely.

i know its copy paste slop but considering how hard it is now a days for the average teenaged boy or a man in his early 20s to find a job AI makes the whole go to university to get a good job future a scary one

I like AI, because I fucking hate artists, I hate that its making PC parts more expensive so foids can sext with their Chad ai boyfriend tho.

The more liberal and secular your society is, the more likely you are to be nervous about AI. People in the West are straight up afraid of AI and having existential crises over it.

Yup. It's almost comical honestly, especially since by and large they are the dominant force behind it, with only the Chinese more or less rivaling them.

Social cohesion goes to shit when races mix because humans are animals and thus are programmed to like their tribe best and hate people who look different from them.

The West is declining so people have a pessimistic view of the future in general. High IQ makes you better at imagining consequences.
