Regardless of how much stock you put in the MBTI it's pretty obvious that most of us have similar personality traits. The INTP - sometimes referred to as the analyst, sometimes referred to as the sperg - is defined by his social ineptitude, non-conformist views, ability to offend, high IQ thinking, lust for analysis and problem solving, disregard for fashions and trends and fierce rationality. He slices through bullshit like Chad's phallus through you oneitis' hymen. He's also never female.
The question is why? Easy. Our outward appearance shapes the person we become. Right? Maybe not.
Almost everyone on here takes a very gene-centric view of the world, and rightly so. Esteemed Jew Steven Pinker concluded in The Blank Slate that personality is probably around 80% heritable. As far as I can tell, most gene-centric thinkers go along with this too. It certainly seems to be the case for IQ. So why so many INTPS? Are we just mentalcels after all or is Pinker underestimating the extent to which environment can shape personality?
