What the test doesn't tell you is that you share Yamnaya Steppe Ancestry (probably 10 - 20%) with Europeans, while I have 2 - 4 % . Since Africans diverged genetically from everyone else, even the small amount of European I have wouldn't make a big difference.

That's what I'm assuming the test did. The results are accurate but don't go into detail about the components of that ancestry, like it won't tell a English person that their ancestry is actually 48% Steppe, 40% Anatolian Farmer and 12% WHG (Western Hunter Gatherer)

My first reaction to this was that I was not that surprised, lol. Overall, the test is pretty accurate and even traced it back to where my recent ancestors lived. The only thing I didn't expect was the tiny East Euro and Sardinian ancestry.
