The right wing miltia was a locally hated group that was fighting a losing war surrounded in the enemy territory and with little to no local support. Meanwhile the communist army was winning and could afford to take wine and food from the locals and would be throwing parties which sometimes ended up in drunken orgies. They also had female "fighters" although they were probably with them for sexual use.
A small communist force consisting of slightly less than 200 fighters, two dozen of them or so were women were occupying a small village. On the day before the attack they managed to obtain 3 carts worth of food and 1000 liters of wine from a local farmer. They ended up throwing a party from which most did not return until 4 am, leaving behind very few men to keep watch over the surrounding area.
The miltia had nearly identical numbers but was also boosted by 3 dozen elite Germans. We can put their number at below 250. Numerical advatange but not a heavy one. They woke up at midnight and by 2 am were already in trucks. They were dropped quite a distance away to avoid being spotted and spent the rest of the night walking. By sunrise they split up into 3 groups and surrounded the village. They encountered little resitance with most communists being still drunk and tired from the night time of partying. 6 communists were however ready and fired upon the attacking miltia which ducked behind cover. Confused and believing that the enemy had fled the communist sent a woman running to warn the rest but she ran straight into the other miltia members and was mowed down.
In the end while expecting a surrender from the communists the miltia let it's guard down as it saw a few unarmed communists running their way. However some fanatical communists were not having it so they shot their own fleeing comrades in the back. The miltia responded by mowing them down. Pissed off the miltia then chose to take no prisoners. They executed every single combatant man and woman alike. How they were killed we do not know. The communists made claims of horrible torture taking place while other less biased sources just claim they were shot and then stripped naked.
I do not know how many women fell but 3 are mentioned by name. 15 communists escaped the battle and 170+ were killed. On the other hand the miltia lost only 4 men.
