Nofap would only be useful if it could eliminate your desire to fap, otherwise it's pointless. But if this were possible for you, then you probably wouldn't be fapping in the first place. Ideally you'd want to mitigate feeling sexually frustrated, while also reducing the likelihood of the urges appearing at all.

Basically if you're on nofap and you feel an intense urge to find sexual release, then by my standards this is counterproductive. I would want to reduce the frequency of urges, not walk around distracted by my unsatisfied need to fap, which in my experience is all that long term nofap ever accomplishes.

It doesn't really work for me tbh. I've found that the only reliable way of lowering my libido is to massively reduce my calorie intake.

All that I was able to accomplish from attempting nofap was to completely cure my compulsion to fap out of pure boredom, now I only fap when I feel a real urge to do so.
