Language mirrors the life cycle of a civilisation. English as literature and vernacular follows the arc of the Anglosphere, peaking from the mid 19th to mid 20th centuries before going into decline. You could say english is more "efficient" now but so is brutalist architecture. Efficiency cheapens culture.

The technological progress from intellectualism serves to lobotomise, reduce attention spans, and pare down language to capture the quicker flow of information.
This heterogeneous, culturally fluid and low attention span society eventually creates the bastardized and truncated slop that is zoomer speech.
Which makes sense since zoomer speech is only a few steps removed from the ooga booga language that will ultimately follow once singularity caps humanity's fall
