I hate how professors are getting more and more used to this shit so now they expect way more shit from you. Like before I could get away with not having a camera or talking but now they are expecting us to interact and shit. I hate how they force you to participate when I am literally just there to learn about history.

just dodge the calls and refuse using a web cam if you can't make your mic and camera utterly garbage. (constant loud static in mic really powerful light shinned directly into the camera) make them want to leave you alone.

I am just aiming the camera barely on me while also making the quality super blurry tbh. Its still annoying though, I shouldn't have to be visible at all.

Honestly I kind of want to make a recording of me sitting there that I can play instead of actually filming myself.

same thing in the workspace. we have zoom meetings and before i could just attend the meeting and take an hour nap but now these fucking bosses have gotten smart and require you to talk into the mic and 'provide feedback'

one of my bosses is even trying to write up something requiring us to use a camera. i was going to use the excuse that i dont have a camera but these fucking bosses are punk ass bitches and the company is going to provide a shit camera specifically for meetings because my boss says, "I want to see all your smiling faces"

There is a setting on my camera to make everything overly bright and fuck up the colors which pretty much makes my face look censored lol. I'm using that now + using a virtual greenscreen to censor my room out as well. I don't want these normies to look at my room or face.

Also, some kids must wear a mask IN THEIR OWN ROOM, IN THEIR OWN HOMES because "by law" it becomes an "extension" of their school!

I dont have any interest in fucking the class time ngl. in uni it feels dumb to sabotage the classes since you are paying for it tbh.

deactivate the camera and just to be safe cover it up in case it auto-reactivates for some reason.
if someone asks, say i dunno. camera isn't working.

when they want you to talk, have another device nearby ready, open ambient sounds on full volume with construction work sounds.
you may warn them that it's loud due to the neighbors.
after not being able to hear you through the constr. work sounds, they will likely not ask you to talk again.
