The shitty tabloid Daily Mail reports:

Here's what happened: The femoid, Shylah Rodden, dropped her phone while she was on the Rebel Coaster at the Melbourne Royal Show. According to the Herald Sun, the theme park employees offered to stop the ride after the current ride was over and collect the phone, a process that would take 20 minutes. Apparently, she couldn't wait even that, because she climbed the structure itself and attempted to collect the phone herself.
The laws of physics didn't care about her feelings, obviously: The roller coaster slammed into Shylah and launched her 9 meters into the air. Upon her return to the earth, she suffered brain damage, broken arms, broken legs, broken ribs, and a shattered pelvis.
Well, if it isn't the consequences of your own actions. Imagine risking your life and climbing onto the rails of an active roller coaster because you couldn't even wait 20 minutes without a text from Chad. Would've been a Darwin Award nominee if she had actually died, but oh well.
Do you know what's even funnier about this story? News.com.au ran an article with the following headline:
A cruel blow? So she's entitled to everyone else's hard-earned money because what, she's a hole? Just patently absurd. If there was ever an argument against universal healthcare, this is it.
A woman hit by a rollercoaster remains in a medically induced coma weeks after the shocking incident that may leave her in a lifetime of pain.
The true extent of Shylah's injuries remain unknown, with fears she may never be able to speak again. On Tuesday, a spokeswoman from the Royal Melbourne Hospital confirmed Shylah's condition was now listed as serious rather than critical. But her prospects at ever living a normal life again are slim to impossible.
