I was playing yugioh master duel and the game is extremely unfair/boring/unjust

all my opponents last an average of eight minutes on their first turn summoning monster after monster, until it gets to a point where they have lots of massive monsters and some huge/massive/indestructible monster that also negates all the effects of my cards

sometimes I prefer to give up before my turn starts, because by then I don't have a way to level the game in my favor

the only way to survive is by playing handtraps like c maxx, ash blossoms or infinite impermanence

and pray to draw a card like evenly match, lightning storm or raigeky

The worst part is when you level up as a player and you can't play with crappy decks like yours, now I only play against super powerful decks and I always lose,..

Yeah I tried a lot with YuGiOh but gave up in the end. I used to have a deck with pentagon summons I believe it's called.

Got raped by everyone and then just quit.

Even AI bots in story missions just obliterated me later on. And it's all so fucking luck based.

Like when I pulled my good cards I raped my opponent in a few rounds, but most of my rounds was me pulling random ass yokel retards that couldn't do anything but stand there and get mogged by the enemy.

I heard you have to splurge thousands to acquire the higher powered cards. It's a scheme. I never liked Yu Gi Oh.

Is there any Yugioh expert

I got like 100-200 Yugioh cards I bought 20 years ago and idk if they are worth anything or should I just toss them out?

if they are rare and in good condition they could be worth heaps. but could just as likely be worthless, being old doesnt give them any inherent value

youll have to go through all of them one by one and research them, itll take a while but thats the only way to do it

:feelsrope:

I dont think they had many star thingies or whatever the fuck that is at the top so they probably worthelss then I guess...

Also some of them are in German. Does it matter which language they are in?

I also have a similiar number of duel masters cards.

If I show them on this forum will you know if they are good or not the cards? I can try go find them on weekend.

yeah the card pool was really small back then so its easy to spot the valuable cards

ok

Hopefully my retard mother didn't throw them away like I warned her for 10 years year after year not to do.

Won't be surprised if she did JFL.

I want to see what you have

alot of the originals and the holos from the starter decks are worth some decent money. Idiots who wants the cards in german will overpay too, just because they're looking at a card from a different language.

Yes

This was true about 10 years ago as well. I dont know what the meta looks like now, but any single card alone can range in the 200-300 pricetag if it's a part of championship tier deck.

I went to my family house and of course my cards were gone because my whore mother either threw them away or tossed them down the attic.

I will revisit this topic at some point because my family is planning to move. The attic is full of shit and I couldn't be bothered to dig around for 6 hours for the possibility of finding my cards.

I told my stupid fucking mother not to throw those away at 100000 different occasions but foid brain never listens so...

Hopefully they are still there, I will tag if I can find them.

if you think yugioh is unfair let me tell you about Magic the gathering. I should know i play both, or used to

Does it cost more to be relevant in Magic ?

in vintage a deck is 10.000$ at minimum. modern 2000-4000$. cEDH 8000-12.000$. Standard 400-500$ every year, most of standard meta cards lose there value once they rotate out, rotation happens every year. With the other formats you can almost make your money back, often old single print cards keep the price up, fuck the reserved list

i don’t understand why niggas play those games, they’re straight scams and it’s basically who spends the most money

if you have spell cards that say magic cards on them, collectors love that stuff cause they changed it quickly after the first distribution of cards in magic ruler.

in Magic there is pauper where you only play with commons, a deck cost 50-100$. i have to disagree i have beaten meta-sheep with cheap budget decks, there is skill involved. And if you got friends you can just proxy, but the hard part is getting friends.

The issue is that if you go to locals there is a very real chance a noob with a upgrade precon playing against a guy practicing for nationals or worlds. Once you play with someone on the same power level is great and skill matters, but if you bring a knife to a gun fight obviously you are gonna get stomped.

i was talking about magic in that post, the one i replied to was asking about MTG.

On yugioh, if there is no skill why is it the same that win nationals and world championships? better yet have you even played yugioh on a semi-competitive level at least? yugioh games might not last for many turns but those turns played feature alot of interaction. If your issue is with the drawing cards from a randomized deck, would you say pokers takes no skill as well? What games do you consider skillful?

My understanding is that Magic atleast tries to be reasonable, with different formats and trying to close the power gap within the relevant decks to the point where your mistakes will cost you the game, even if you have the better deck.

Yugioh has never offered this luxury when playing with rogue decks. The only time skill matters in that shithole game is if you're playing a mirror match or Top 3 decks clashing.

dayum :whatfeels: and people say yugioh is expensive

I have a ton of Yu Gay Hoe cards from a long time ago. I wonder if any of them are worth money.

blue eyes white dragon always works for me

Yugioh = you gay hoe

fuck it's like I'm back in middle school again.

big reason those formats with 10k decks is that price is due to something called the reserved list, is a list of cards that will never be reprinted for bullshit reason, this creates a artificially low supply, the only thing stopping a reprint is bullshit promise made 20-30 years ago.

Master duel sucks just can't wrap my brain around all the bullshit happening on screen, I play the offline version time to time though. For card games, nothing scratches the itch like hearthstone or mtg arena tbh.

Depends on the rarity and condition and the card. You can see on the card in wich set it came out. Then you an go to cardmarket and see how much its currently worth.

if you have a problem with boards that you cant break, rather play board breakers. I dont know how much non engine space you have in your deck, but single handtrap if you go second just doesnt does enough, the decks that combo for so long and are annoying to play against are designed to play through multiple handtraps.
Maybe control/Backrow decks could be a thing for you. Because master duel is only best of one with no sidedeck. most people dont main backrow hate and most negation monster do things against opponents monsters.
