If you havent been downloading videos for the past 10 years..
That train Will never come Back, and the whole website sucks major Dick.
I have come to greatly resent the shit out of Shorts and now they are spammed everywhere.. like Black plague.
A dysfunctional piece of dogshit administration with no regard for actual videos.
Instead of polluting and fucking up something that used to work - heyy make a side thing to regurgitate 30 sec clips for the deranged adhd special needs kids and dont RAPE the DAMN search bar with this GARBAGE!!

They know it would flop, since they cant compete with chinktok ( ohh now its owned by AMERICANS TOP KEK.. AS IF THE DAMAGE DONE BY THIS POISON REQUIRES A FUCKING FLAG TO REPRESENT IT )

IT IS FILTH
I WONDER IF YOU COULD READ A BOOK OR SOMETHING THAT NEEDS FOCUS WHEN THE GOLDFISH IS THERE TO INTERRUPT OHHH GEEEE!!!

Okay?
Im Backing my stuff 1.7 TB to a new hard drive ( Toshiba has never failed me ), i dont even trust the One i have. ( Which is Western Digital Elements 2TB )

I tell you,
The internet is Broken glass at this point.

The same thing applies with computers.
If i want a bit of internet, i just use my android.
I'll never use anything past Windows 10 1709 x64 Home Edition.
And Windows XP is Still KING when Agency is concerned.

Whole internet is a unstable shitshow now

For the last three weeks screwtube lists a short of Rushs new foid drummer palying a fucking song. I will not watch it and I can't make it go away. It's so painful to see. I just shut it the fuck off.

The advertisements when on mobile make me irrationally angry. Something about them is so fucking condescending and patronizing. The music they play in some of these ads makes me want to shove my fists into the screen.

I opened up the yt app on my phone and it was all shorts in the front page, no regular videos because a recent update and I kept scrolling and no regular videos appeared. That made me seethe

Then I was on my desktop trying to download some videos and my old trick of cookies.txt with ytdlp to download age restricted videos was broken. Which made me seethe more.

I hate google so much.

1. Clickbait everywhere
2. Ragebait everywhere
3. AI slop everywhere (I'm pro-AI but I don't like low effort AI slop)
4. Censorship getting worse by the year, both in terms of youtubers getting banned for making even slightly controversial takes, and youtube really aggressively removing comments. Actually removing isn't even the right word because if they detect wrongthink your comment just goes straight into the void to be seen be no one.
5. Fake personalities
6. So many videos are optimizing for watch-time, so you have lot of videos that are 10 minutes long that have 1 minute of actual information, and 9 minutes of yapping
7. Brainrot everywhere.
8. Everything is overedited. It's like they know the video itself isn't insightful, entertaining, or informative on it's own, so they try to keep your attention by shoveling in as much b-roll, jump cuts, special effects, memes, sound effects, etc. as they possibly can. It's just heavily polished shit.
9. Grifters everywhere.

I miss the youtube of the late 2000s. Back then people on youtube just made videos about stuff they were sincerely interested in. They didn't cover topics just because everyone else was talking about it and they wanted to "strike while the iron was hot". They didn't shill for sponsors in every video. They didn't make every video title clickbait. They didn't stall and waste the viewer's time so they could get additional watch-time and more ads. There was no monetization, so people's intentions were (generally) to entertain, inform, share ideas, or connect with people. Those days are long gone....and we didn't realize how good we had it until they were over.

I know what you're talking about. Especially those ads for shitty mobile games where it shows someone playing extremely poorly in a way designed to make the viewer feel frustrated and download the game so they can "prove" to themselves they can do better, only to realize that the actual gameplay is nothing like it is on the ad and instead of being action-based, it's just a city builder with gacha mechanics.

And that annoying depop ad with the guy in the red shirt and that shitty fucking music. Fuck that guy and fuck the soy music in it

Amen. :yes: :feelsthink::bigbrain:
That's exactly how it is.
The good old days, the 2000s, when the internet and Shlomo tube were still usable.
To hell with that modern garbage, AI slop, censorship and all the other soy crap for foids and soyboys.

I remember a shift happenend somewhere around 2014-2015

Someone isn’t doing his Tai chi at 55

What do you think of stuff like Odysee, Bitview or Vidlii?
Odysee stutters and you cant always upload what you want, ohh and their "currency" thingy is a very pajeet way to scam you of your time.

Bittube.tv was the same thing, and loook... Its Gone!
It is sad there arent that many FREE good alternativas, but rutube.ru so far seems to be the most competent.
Plus i dont get angry at the main frontpage so its something.

Confirmed.

But yt is beyond it with ai slop!
In the End, even the satellite dish must Kiss pavement.
Nothing decent lasts Forever.

I also hate how YouTube seems to be hiding seemingly-innocuous things behind a "restricted" block in order to force more users into YouTube Premium.

I am glad I know about Invidious and PipePipe as I have not used vanilla YouTube for years.

I spend too much time on YT :/
Try to go without internet for 2 weeks, then come Back.
Prove you are not an addict.
But... Can you go without it?

Hmmm
Show me...

Same here bro

Newpipe is good

We all die, I'm just grateful to have seen the rise.
And me, for having modded and touched the Best video games ever made.

But i aint Done just yet..
I need to conclude the things i started.
Sorting one mess at a time.

Still, somebody better figure out a way to get around the "restricted" block fast, as YouTube will be implementing another round of censorship next week when they start restricting gaming videos

Idk about rutube seems like a русский only site which is fine for you i guess. I know some Russian but not enough so that i'll actually enjoy using it.

Bitchute is run by some englishtard but on the plus side they do allow good freedom of speech but the content is kinda meh and heavily politicized catered towards a specific audience.

Luckily you can easily block ads nowadays on both Desktop and mobile

You know about invidious?
Maybe websites display very differently on different browsers.

Back in the early days of the web I used all browsers to check my site displays.

I had different codes that made each browser display my site very coolly.

I have to use ublock origin with unhook and return dislike count to make yt even somewhat bearable. Other than that i'll just use newpipe

Ublock origin is the best browser extension to exist after like idk Noscript.

Same browser extensions are the only thing keeping shit bearable however Brave do have some unhook features built in.

Yeah, i fully switched to uBlock after AdBlock Plus stopped working for GoyTube

Brave's okay, but i've always been using Firefox for as long as i can remember. I might move to Zen which uses the Modzilla fork

It never worked well for me. Must be my harsh settings or something. Maybe wrong browser?
I know that Chrome-based browsers hate some Invidious instances because of their anti-YouTube spybot check pages, so see what happens if you try going on Invidious with Firefox or one of its forks.

Ublock origin is the best browser extension to exist after like idk Noscript.

Adnauseum is even better as it is a fork of Ublock Origin that simulates clicks on every ad it blocks to basically give useless data to any would be data-collection trackers. The fact that it pissed Google off so much that Google removed it from the Play store gives it my seal of approval.

Yeah that war is still going on because YouTube likes to throttle people using Adblockers by making their videos run slower or other things that isn't just straight up blocking them from viewing videos.

Luckily most videos run fine for me. Ads arent a bad thing itself, but YouTubes greed knew no limit and they just have to spam ad after ad even for short videos

Firefox run by Mozilla is a cuck for Jewgle and basically relys on money from them to keep it afloat so they started adding like non-privacy friendly stuff by default.

Mozilla doesn't get much money from donations and they do have less security than chromium ones.

I like the design of firefox and customizability on how much you can configure compared to say Brave with chromium because there aren't as many user settings you can adjust.

mhm it's really crazy honestly, it's like a negative feedback loop because ads are gonna get worse and worse which either makes people pay for Premium or use adblockers.

sounds sus
It has served me well.
But the latest incident i had with some precious files of mine created a distrust.
I managed to get them all back, however..
Because, Im insane.

Smart people use ReVanced instead of paying for Premium (only works for Android though)

Yeah i think a lot of people still use desktop but I'm sure you could find options there too.
