People really adapt to their appearance, even too much, their entire worldview adapts to their appearance and it's something that starts early.
If most of the weirdos here were, it would seem like a cliché, but if they were born a little prettier it wouldn't have anything to do with it, they would be like any ordinary citizen.
It's something really behavioral, I would say that the top 20% can act however they want (they have access to instant pleasure whenever they want)
the remaining 60% are capable of copying them and the worst 20% are not capable of imitating, are barred from doing so, and end up assuming dissident personalities
