You don't need to...but if you work on VR devices, RAM is critical. Your game just crahees if out of RAM and is in a RAM dependent framework (e.g. open world model rendering)

Thats what I do. I use AI but AI more often than not makes up code libraries/functions or their solution is from very old versions.
