I've heard that most cameras lenses tend to distort your face, especially up close, like if you look at yourself through the camera on your phone.

I've heard a mirror is more accurate, just that the image is flipped so you don't notice your asymmetry a lot of the time.

I'm not a photographer though, so don't quote me.

Da mirror, preferably by the 3/4 angle as in real life people usually won't see you directly at your front or side
