Any person including your parents will love you or help you as long as you are in their comfort zone or you live according to their world view. Try to break this comfort zone or try to do something that does not fit in their world view then even your parents will turn as much evil as the whole world appears to you.

I have been through enough shit in life and trust men I too used to think that parents never betray you but i was wrong even parents will stab you in the back at the right opportunity . They will later rationalize their acts by thinking that they are doing it for the good of their chid .

Not even parents never care about you . All they care about is themselves and their world view.

If your parents feel you are a danger to yourself and others then yes they did what they thought was right in the moment. The mental health team failed your parents and you.
How many drug addicts get pissed because they parents force them into rehab? Call CPS on them for the safety of the grandchildren? Cut their child off, so they can hit "rock bottom" and realize they need help.

As for parents not loving their children. Most parents are hard wired to love their child, but not all parents have the same level of tolerance for failure. Some parents are just shitty

I don’t know of any country in the first world where parents can have you committed to a locked ward in a psychiatric hospital based on nothing but their desire. What happens is that a doctor assesses a person and may make an involuntary order. This is usually no longer than three days before the patient is either released back into the community or subject to an extension of that order. While people are in a locked ward, they may be administered medication without their consent.

Without knowing how bad those anger issues are or how they manifest, it’s hard to say. But I have trouble imagining most parents would be happy to see their child hospitalised. I imagine it’s something they would only do if they genuinely believed that it was in the best interests of their child. That or the anger control issues had reached a point where they are too difficult to deal with. I would not expect anyone to tolerate domestic violence from their child, and having to walk on eggshells and living in fear of the next explosion of anger qualities.

So in this case it’s not just the parents who think this person needs help. It’s also everyone else who has been involved. Most noteably multiple doctors. On the other hand we have a person who admits they have some issues but didn’t want to go to hospital.

There are some anti psychotics and SSI inhibitors that can have some pretty nasty side effects, especially if they are quit cold turkey instead of tapering off. I know of no drug that causes “brain damage”. There will be no evidence for this you can produce, besides rambling conspiracy theories. The mentally ill are often highly suspicious of their prescribed medication. That’s why it’s often so hard to get an ill person to take it. Which is also why it’s sometimes not voluntary.

ECT is used in a minute fraction of cases these days, and bears absolutely no resemblance to the scenes you see in movies, which often do resemble torture.

Do you know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist? Psychiatry absolutely is a legitimate medical discipline. You would have a better chance by arguing that psychology was junk science, but even then you would have huge hurdles.

I have actually faced this choice with a family member. I ended up calling an ambulance and after being assessed she was admitted. She blamed me for a long time, and still does. The thing is, she is also completely delusional. Her opinion that I betrayed her is less credible because she also thought every song in the world was written by one man who loved her, and he was sending her messages through YouTube.

Blaming your parents is just a way to divert yourself from the fact you have some serious problems. Take your meds, listen to the doctors, forgive your parents, and get better.

Secondly I used this case only as an example that Parents are not moral gods or infalliable and can do things that can be both immoral and harmful to the child.

So, Stop glorifying things that parents are epitome of morality and will always do things that are best for the child.
