Your opinion on collecting physical ps5 game?

The thing is, colleague gave me his broken base disc version of ps5. I tinkered with it a little bit and from a quick look it might just be simple power plug resoldering job.

But it made me think about keeping it and starting a physical game collection. After all, I can see a few good releases in the future like AI limit, Yumia, Kazan, Nightrein and MHW. Plus I have a few old ps4 discs as well already from the days of my ps4slim.

What do You think? Should I keep the ps5 and start a collection or just flip it on marketplace for $100 - $150 and just pirate the games on a pc? Does anyone here like collecting physical games?

I would look into your local game store to see what kinda deals you could get. I sometimes get PS4 games for .99 cents. Steam would never.

I have been looking into Facebook marketplace and 2nd hand stores as well. The problem is that all of normies play the same slop again and again.

Only game worthwhile I managed to found out is Stellar blade for like -30% MSRP. The rest is the same yearly and biyearly ubishit slop, yearly releases of fifa, nhl, nba, ass creed and whatever. Only used games I like can be bought in bigger stores since they have them warehoused.

Cheap older games are mainly for ps3 and I dont have that. And dont even know if I want to have it.

Well, the space is last of my problems. Might even buy a new shelf or something. Some of the physical games have nice covers and are nice to look at.

Just make sure they will work out of the box without internet required if not then they are not physical copies but just a downloadable code on disc. It's cool to have physical copies of your favs. I love my copy of Bloodborne, makes me happy every time I see it.

Yeah, I've been scrolling trough that page for quite some time yesterday. I have physical copy of ER. What that site tells me is that while it is playable, half of the quests are broken without patch. On the other hand, DS3 is absolutely perfect. Well anyway, I do not care too much about if additional downloads being required as long as offline play works after that. I care most about the game license being tied to a disc, not a account, so would I get banned over anything, at least my games would still be mine.

Anyway, today I've been reading about Atelier Yumia might be censored. I'll wait for march 17th, the demo on steam should release. Would that game be censored I'll just flip the console on marketplace and pirate Yumia on PC. Atelier Yumia is one of the main games I am considering keeping console anyway and I refuse to pay for watered down censored game.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I thought it was running like shit only on PC. But if it's ps5 as well then I wont bother. And still even then I would've to buy psplus to play online which I am still reluctant.

Yeah, that's one of the other reasons to go physical I've too. I do not know why, but I love to take a look from time to time on Elden Ring cover art. The great rune of ER in the background is really something.

Don't ever believe them saying it's 60fps since new games are starting to use awful absolutely awful frame gen at 30fps and boost it to 60fps first game that made this was lazy ass Wukong and now MH Wilds. I guess only pro can play this piece of junk at 60fps
