Chani is a redhead in the books. So naturally cast as a black. Duncan Idaho is a white guy. Paul is fine at least since Chalamet is a heavily mixed kike you can't tell, the Lynch movie made a better casting choice though. Those are just the ones I know about and already off to a terrible start.

His delivering of the monologue in sietch tabr before Paul leads the jihad in Part 2 was a great section of his performance. Everything else, I suppose, is solid in the movie. Not anything overally superlative but solid with some high points.

Villenueve also made Liet-Kynes a black woman in the first movie which was the more flagrant uses of woke appeasement I've ever seen. Especially considering his respect for the source material in his movies is overwhelming laudable. (Blade Runner, Arrival) Chani'qua is one thing, but to render an entire character inconsequential in the screenplay (a divergence from the books) and to top it off with a diversity retcon-of-the-year to meet a quota is pernicious and lessened my respect for him.
But I do think it's quite funny how he made Jamis black considering how he dies like a deranged dog at the hands of Paul.
