It's like being told that learning to draw is all about just drawing more. You know that's bullshit, people like Chris Chan prove it wrong, yet that's all the advice people give. You need to try, but what do you try for? What do you aim for? It's like being put in a lab with random chemicals while being told you have to make a bar of soap, yet you have zero chemistry knowledge. You have to try, yet every time you try you mess up a chance to succeed, and every time you succeed it felt more like it just happened to you rather than you making it happen.
