I just went to a gas station, one guy was at the counter asking people for spare change so he could get a soda. Then i walked outside and some guy in his early 20's appeared to be on heroin or fentanyl, dozing off and mumbling to himself. Then when i went around the corner to get to where my car was parked, another guy who was no older than 25, was digging through a dumpster ... Keep in mind this is in a middle class neighborhood, not anywhere close to the ghetto.

How the hell did we get here ? Single mothers are given a home and given free paychecks, while young men are living in squalor. It really pisses me off, because i know if i didn't have a family that cared about me, i would be in the same situation that they're in. The government turns a blind eye while men in America are falling through the cracks at an ever alarming rate.

The situation is EXACTLY the same here in my city. The city is rotting and the disparity is growing. The housing market is increasingly heated and out of the reach of ordinary men. The family system, community support and friend network has also collapsed leading to the creation of an underclass of vulnerable young men who are one disaster away from complete and utter ruin. In downtown, the parademics are totally overstressed from having to deal with the ever-peaking number of fentanyl overdoses. People are becoming addicts because of the absence of care and emotional welfare. A tremendous number of men have become hobos, camping in the streets, begging for money, starving and shivering in the cold. This is what a collapsed civilzation looks like. Its over.

This pretty much applies to any mid-sized american city.

California and the LA area is the prime example of this. Tent cities and endless blocks of homeless addicts.
