In medical residency, FOBs would sort of talk to me, but there were enough of them where they could form their own circle. And still do, to this day. In my area there are mosques, hindu temples, Indian grocery stores, and all the FOBs hang out there, know each other. Heck even some apartment complexes are entirely taken over by them. And they keep coming! Seriously, FOBs are at least 70 if not 80 percent of all Indians in America.

As an Indian American, I have no place, no place which is filled with my own people to call my own. I am set adrift in America, to navigate a huge country where I am not white, but nor am I Jewish/Black/Mexican/Asian, and yet the latter groups have to somehow pretend that we are together, when we really aren't.

My life is fucked, there's very little I can do at this point.
