I dont know how its in other countries without drafting, but in Germany, its often loser guys who apply to freiwilliger Wehrdienst (voluntary military service). If you dont have a job secured after school and you are a general loser, one could say the military is the loser refugee camp and from what i have heard multiple times is that they will take every idiot. Not in my case. I told them during my application process that i have Aspergers and despite that they didnt reject me yet. When i had my interview and examination, they rejected me with the reasoning to my lack of social skills. My friend (who is also a loner with barely any friends) who also was in the army told me that he knows someone who got told something similar but they still accepted him. Thats how you know its not only over but it never began for you. The supposed loser refugee camp rejects you because you are too big of a... loser. This confirmed for me that i am the lowest of the low and even other losers are repulsed by me. Im not sad because i didnt get into the military, im sad because im too much of a loser to join a group of losers.

It's the same in the UK. If you ever watch a military documentary, the guys usually say that they were either getting into trouble with the police or were lost in life, so they joined the military. It's different with officers though, they train separately from regular soldiers and actually need to be high iq.

You shouldn't tell about your Aspergers to job interviewers, it will ruin your job prospect and make them pay attention to details that they wouldn't notice.

Yeah it's the exact same way here in the US, it's so commonly known that it's literally a meme

In HS, we had this thing called "JROTC" which meant junior officer reserve training corps. Literally, only the losers of the losers were in it.

Seemingly, the army tends to be what takes the more idiotic ones, but the more IQmaxxed ones join the Navy or Air Forc; Marine Corps is very strenuous so less people go for that.

I actually come from a military family, we have documents of some of my ancestors joining the US military in both World Wars

My grandpa(paternal) was also a sergeant in the USAF, he worked in New Mexico at one point on some bases iirc.

yeah a lot of them technically start their career in college, some in the US go to certain colleges due to their ROTC program, sign some contract with whatever branch, and then go into the army as an officer.
