I was at a family gathering recently and a problem of mine came up, as I was explaining myself, my uncles kept yelling speak up and when I tried that, I was told that I was too monotone and everyone ganged up upon me by saying that they can't understand what I'm saying half the time too. Busy getting a lecture on muh communication and all that jazz. Even my parents clown me a lot for my voice as well.

Even in high-school, my teachers embraced me in their classes when having to give speeches and snuck in jabs at me for no reason. Along with the other students and so called friends.

Somehow they are mad at me when I don't talk much.

Mind you I have a decently deep voice

Brutal, the voicepill is really underrated. I also currently have a rather deep voice, but only because I took a voice therapy, as I had a painfully high-pitched one for years, and it was hell on Earth.

Definitely check it out and see what they'll tell you if you'd like to change it. At the very least, you'll get a professional's opinion on whether something is wrong with your body on this or not. In my specific case, my voicebox, throat, and so on, had all developed well, but somehow I've learned to breathe and talk badly, so I had to unlearn it and learn how to actually speak properly, but the doctors made it clear that if something had actually been anatomically wrong with me then surgery would've been the only solution, so you'll at least know where you stand on this.

My same position. A have a deep voice but such a sluggish and languid intonation that people assume I’m retarded. I tend to mumble when I speak because I don’t care, nor the I have the energy, to speak out or vocalize anything.
