Unfortunately stumbled across some neurodivergent """content""" and I had to share some observations. Every time I see any of these "relatable" adhd/autism/depression/anxiety/neurodivergent whatever content, it's always a decent - good looking guy/girl, NEVER do they look like any of the actual neurodivergent people I know ie. average - subhuman looks. People say that there is an issue of people romanticising stuff like autism and adhd. That is clearly an effect of social media self-selecting for the best looking people who represent it lmao. Real ADHD subhumans (ie. 90% of people with actual ADHD) wouldn't have enough mental energy to make tiktoks and post them online lmao. And I'm sure if you candidly film ADHD/autists even the most liberal HR ladies would become eugenicists overnight. Compare those quirky "autistic girls" to your local special ed class.
ADHD is my superpower? Ok chad/stacy, maybe for you it is, when you've had positive reinforcement since birth, a loving family to fall back on, a proper social circle etc. Look at how many neurodivergent posts online start with "so my girlfriend...", or even "at work today..." like to all the neurodivergent people I know, these "basic" things, we can't even dream of them. And yes I am very very very lucky to have fallen into a friend circle that has people like me. I know that a vast majority of NDs don't have that luxury. We can't even summon enough energy to do all the 100 steps needed to apply for a job, and if we are lucky enough to get an interview with a human (who tf is getting those in 2026), 0.13 milliseconds and they can smell our ND behavior. Over.
Like I'm not even trying to invalidate these people's experiences or saying they're faking it or whatever. Like yes, you can have the same internal struggles, childhood trauma and all that, but now you also have looks to cover up for all of that. Imagine all that, but you're still ugly.
Throughout recent years a lot of "fringe" groups have gotten more and more acceptance. Now I'm talking about a societal level, more so than a legal level. Homosexuality, transgenderism, kink, even anime. What do these all have in common? Good looking people post content about it on tiktok. That's it.
Advice for the glowies in here. If you want to make anything, and I mean ANYTHING mainstream go and hire 5-8 good looking young guys and girls and have them make like 10 tiktoks with a caption mentioning whatever. Far left, far right. Pro/Anti whatever. Ideology doesn't matter. The only ideology our monkey brains recognizes is LOOKS, and after that it's my good looking idol vs your good looking idol.
Anyway just wanted to rant a bit in reaction to seeing this content I didn't really have a coherent argument in mind. Also if I learned anything about the world it's that connections are EVERYTHING, and what is the one thing that NDs can't do?
