Did technology help us? Yes, it’s helped a lot.

But, it’s also taken a lot from us too.

And it’s not just our intelligence that has cucked us with inventions.

But, our philosophy and religions have cucked us too.

How did we ever get the idea that we are not animals?

We humans are just too smart for our own good.

It's funny I thought about the same thing when I read that thread of a guy feeling sorry for two rabbits he killed.

We literally enslave and eat other animals, but since most of us don't kill our food we forget what we are and what we need to do to survive.

If you are alive you are a monster, and there is price being paid for every life.

Yes. It degraded us. It took away our evolutionary adaptations, our immunity, our robustness, our strength. Technology, unless specifically used to create superhumans, is inherently dysgenic in nature because of the comforts it provides. This became perfectly clear to be when I interacted with street dogs in our neighborhood who despite living out in the streets had better health and immunity than the weak estrogenic jeets the infest my locality.
Look at how our skulls have gotten smaller and more gracile over time. Compare wolf skulls to dog skulls. Domestication through technology hurts us in the long term.

Ill-founded arrogance, that's all. We believe that we have it better just because we have greater consciousness when in reality, its our consciousness that is the source of our misery, making us aware of inequalities and lack of privilege. The more conscious we became, the more we separated ourselves from natural law, subverting natural selection and eugenics, and the result of that civilization where everyone lives oppressive lives of quiet despair with their subhumanity.
