Damn I got weak lately. Yesterday I tried to do a push-up and I barely could do just one.

I had prioritized cardio over strength in the last few months but I had no idea I would become so weak.

Time to train strength again.

I injured my right funny bone and now I can’t even do one. I get a painful electric feeling and crumple instantly. I’m pretty strong and can do most other stuff fine but pushups are impossible for me now
 
If I really push myself I can do maybe 40. My max was like 88 I think. Just do them regularly and you will become stronger.

Yeah that's true also weight plays a major role. If you lost like 20kg you'll do even more.
You should try knee pushups and gradually move over to normal pushups.
The key is Progressively Overloading.
Also you might wanna loose some weight as well
 
I'm doing 100 pushups every other day tbh I wish i could go for running

They're just an endurance exercise.

I do em weighted the rare times I ever bother doing them

But weighted dips and bench are way better

It's hard to believe that anyone could find those too easy.
 
I was lifting 220lbs prior to this covid thing, now I'm sure I will struggle with 150 :feelsrope:

I bench 1.79 times my bodyweight and I can't even do them

Well, push-ups are not entirely useless then, are they ? They are a progression step towards the one-armed push-ups. Convict conditioning style.

brutal, try doing elevated pushup with books underneath your hands
