Exactly so.
Two decades ago (before widespread social media and pre-Tinder; basically, when couples were more-or-less looksmatched), the vast majority of people didn't even know elevator shoes existed.
3-4 years from now, they'll be an "absolutely must have" item in the wardrobe collection of any manlet, and it's likely that mainstream shoe manufacturers will be making lotsa $$$ selling 5 inch elevator shoes in the very near future.
