Coming out of WaPo even an opinion piece I was pretty surprised to see this considering the usual angle these types of opinion pieces lean.
Most of it is a breath of fresh air, but of course they have to shoehorn in this garbage:
> “Yes, men have long had societal advantages over women and in some ways continue to be treated favorably.”
Typical eh? That aside it’s surprising to see someone lay out this sort of data in a mainstream outlet like this. Tough to argue with a lot of his arguments but in typical retard fashion there’s already woke SJWs rejecting it on Le Reddit and co.
Stuff like this gives me a shred of hope, but on the other hand notice how the phrasing used at times for “why should we care?” is that a fail spiral for men like this will be devastating for the economy at large. Guess most people only give a damn when it affects them, but that’s not surprising — I can understand why such statements are included if he assumes he’s talking on deaf ears to people that will reject the article’s points out of hand.
To me I completely get why men are dropping out and becoming NEETs — I can’t do that personally as I’d go homeless, but why should men support a system that so clearly doesn’t give a damn about them? Men are dropping out and doing the bare minimum when they recognize trying doesn’t work so they quickly give up. They recognize the system for how it is because they’ve lived in it and experienced the way things actually work.
