Yeah i have used that site before to download videos from jootube. It's so weird that youtube doesn't allow you to download videos. SO EVIL.
I've been using cnvmp3.com for awhile. It works with a bunch of other sites too.
It's because they can show ads if you're forced to watch the videos on their site. If the video is downloaded, people can watch the videos ad free.

Even yt-dlp is getting cucked. Before you could just input the url and go, now it is more restrictive with adult restricted content you need to set up a JavaScript library. The barrier is to use is going up.
