Media Xurious - the hero with a thousand faces (fashwave)

Extremely giga based. I m a big fan of his work

Honestly, this is fucking cringe music.

I remember when I was younger and dumb and would unironically listen to this cringe shit.

I am glad that I grew up and out of this.

You mean synthwave in general or just this subjenre that I'm not familiar with? I find the culture of songs like this cringe, but there are many good electronic songs as well. But I too can't stand some of these tryhard or cheesy internet-born subcultures, I know guys in their 20s who prefer shitty AI-sounding metal covers made by nobodies over original songs (often without even knowing the original song or the fact that they are covers) and seriously listen to stuff like "Skyfall x Monster Hunter" or weird anime mixes. They aren't even real songs, just some edgy 13 year old mixing things badly. It's not really the music being bad, these people have no culture. Like, how can you listen to a random modern emo cover of Head over Heels made by teenager amateurs on YouTube, without knowing that it's a cover of Head over Heels? I knew a dude like this.

But I too also like some songs that are considered synthwave (even though they are often just songs made with synths), which I guess is the same genre as the one posted here... such as those made by Home and 憂鬱.

Only this sub culture bullshit. I listen to normal synthwave every once in a while. Not as much as I used to though.

Same as with phonk. In the beginning it was nice but it's turned more and more into shit.

I really like that memphis phonk though. It's very raw.
Basically the OG of phonk as well as memphis rap.

For example
