Assuming you could have a wife, would you want two?

My friend at work says you can only love one wife and not two. I said it's like loving children or pets you can have multiple and love all of them equally. In some primitive tribes, some men may take three wives that are exchanged for some resource like livestock.

I'd want one wife that is smart and sociable and the other that is submissive, quiet, illiterate and domesticated.
