That's how many christian scholars in the past looked at the problem "why we suffer". But in reality nothing supernatural exist. Depends, are you actually talking about "Satan" himself or are you talking about Hollywood / fame, etc.? If we're being realistic / down to earth here for a sec, "selling your soul" just means you'll trade you privacy and freedom for some extra cash and face-time from the public.
