If I could go without buying a gift, then I’d be there just for the free food. The prospect of going there and making people uncomfortable and ruining the party for them may be fun, but normies are boring. I’d be a wall lurker and watch all these normies enjoying themselves. Guys my age don't have "birthday parties". So it would mean going to a party where everyone was significantly younger than me. That would inevitably mean feeling self-conscious about my age and not being able to relate to anyone there due to having a vastly different cultural frame of reference. Hard pass.
