I have a female tabby cat, but it doesn't like me. Unlike most female cats, I have no problem with male cats, they are always clingy and playful. It has something to do with the female gender at this point. I would rather get a duck, or a gecko as pet.

I don't like the idea of pets. I know that my relationship with them is purely transactional. I give food, they stay. If not, they leave. They exhibit no human emotions that constitutes a relationship. Most pet owners think their animal loves them, anthropomorphism is what it's called. At least with humans, though it's also transactional, it can be built on shared experiences and such. Of course not even my own species wants to interact with me.

Cats are always one of my favourite animals. The thing is, her presence in my house wasn't solely my decision. Her sole purpose was catching rodents and being a cat meat factory. My parents also don't like her either, because she keeps murdering baby chicks in our backyard (we have a chicken farm back there). But without her, the house would be full of rats.
Most of the time, I always try to be friendly and approachable to her, I was never be abusive and hit her for no reason (only when she sneaks up and eats food in the kitchen). She seems very avoidant towards me.

I'm not sure about cats. Used to show up at a pet grooming store, one day massaged while drying the fur of a very well behaved cat lol. Nicest cat I've seen and the purring was like live asmr.. but they're whatever.

I have had both cats and dogs, but now I just have my cat left after my most previous dog had to be put down because of untreatable and terminal cancer. Unfortunately, the apartment complex I live in now does not allow dogs over 30 lbs and if I am going to have a dog he has to be at least 50 lbs as I do not like small dogs.
In addition to my cat I already had, I found a stray month-old kitten on the side of the road on my way home from work last year. She had a broken leg, and no shelter would take a kitten that young. I decided to keep her after spending the money at the veterinarian to pin her right humerus back together. The leg healed fully without any complications as it was a clean break and neither the joints or growth plates were damaged.
Both of my cats are extremely cuddly, and the kitten I adopted is now a year old. She is always trying to lie next to me when I am on the sofa. All of the cats and dogs I have had are better companions and more loyal than most people ever will be.

I too prefer medium sized doges! Just in case I need to carry it around....
But I only use vets for dog spray/neutering... (But not for cats) Can't afford other medical stuff.

When I was a little kid I took home a non-feral stray and raised it for about a month until my parents sold him when I wasn't home. Pet-owning has been ruined for me forever 
My last dog was 85 pounds. He was a big, mild-mannered fluffy creature.
The veterinarian said that I had to make a decision about the leg of the kitten I found, fast, as he was going to be booked for the rest of the month, and the broken ends of her right femur had been severely displaced. It was not an injury that could just be ignored.
